AI for Business in Education, do we still need NO-CODE tools?
As an AI educator, I've been teaching a subject that is often perceived as complex and excessively technical. My students, predominantly from business backgrounds, typically don't have extensive coding experience. To bridge this gap, I've leaned heavily on no-code tools like Obviously.ai and Nocode.ai to introduce them to Artificial Intelligence without requiring them to master the intricacies of programming languages like Python or frameworks like TensorFlow .
The beauty of no-code software for AI lies in its accessibility. It allows users to design, implement, and deploy AI solutions without being bogged down by the technicalities. However, the emergence of Generative AI, exemplified by tools like ChatGPT, has triggered a new era where writing code is no longer the daunting task it once was.
Combining Generative AI with platforms like Google Colab has revolutionized the learning process. With Google Colab, students can access powerful computing resources, including GPUs, without the hassle of setting up environments or installing libraries. This seamless integration empowers students to focus on the concepts rather than the technical implementation details.
As a teacher, I've embraced this paradigm shift by incorporating a blend of ChatGPT, Google Colab, and Google Drive into my curriculum. Instead of teaching traditional coding syntax, my students learn to communicate with these AI systems using English (for other languages, code generation doesn't work as well). This method simplifies the learning process and also opens up a world of possibilities for those who may have been intimidated by coding.
This evolution challenges the conventional definition of no-code. No longer confined to drag-and-drop interfaces, students now hold the power of language to orchestrate complex AI workflows. This shift enhances efficiency and also cultivates a deeper understanding of AI concepts.
But this is just the beginning. As AI advances, it will undoubtedly disrupt education in ways we can't yet imagine. By embracing these technological innovations, we empower students to only adapt to change and thrive in an increasingly AI-driven world.
